First our 2:45pm 37140 Futura bus was delayed for an hour. On the way to Morelia, instead of trying to catch up with the schedule, the driver took two smoking breaks, and brought his cigarette to the bus and filled the bus with its smell. Then about ten mile outside of Morelia, the bus broke down. It was past 6:00 pm, and dark outside. We were on the side of a highway. The driver went about fixing the problem on his own for three hours, never bothering for once what to do with the stranded passengers. By 9:00 pm, passengers lost patience, and found a Didi car to take them to Morelia with two runs. The driver did not offer any help, did not call for help. We were supposed to arrive in Morelia at 5:30 pm. Instead we arrived at 9:30 pm, 4 hours later. The worst part was that we felt dangerous in the car and later on the highway, in the dark and left alone. The driver and Futura seemed to take no responsibility for the situation. When asked whether Futura would pay or reimburse the Didi car fee, the response was NO. When we were taken away by the Didi car, the driver was still working on starting the bus without any hope of success. He had been doing that for 3 hours without support from the company. It was a nightmare. My wife and I are both retired American lawyers, and are in the process of finding ways to sue the company. Such situation should not be allowed to continue in the future, endangering the safety of its passengers.
