I am writing to express my serious concerns and disappointment regarding my recent experience with Jefferson Lines. I purchased a ticket on March 30th 2024 for bus service 117 from Joplin Bus Station ... I am writing to express my serious concerns and disappointment regarding my recent experience with Jefferson Lines. I purchased a ticket on March 30th 2024 for bus service 117 from Joplin Bus Station to Van Buren/Fort Smith on the 12/10/24. I arrived at the Joplin station at 7:00 AM after a Greyhound bus from St. Louis, expecting to board 10:35 AM bus. However, the bus never arrived. When I inquired at the shop connected to the station, I was informed that the 117 service has been discontinued for approximately six months. This was shocking, as I was not notified at any point about the cancellation of this service. I PURCHASED the ticket in march 30th, 2024 so why reflects poor communication and a lack of operational oversight. This experience caused me significant distress. I suffer from anxiety and depression, and being stranded in an unfamiliar location added to my mental and emotional strain. The bus shelter was occupied by homeless individuals, which made me feel unsafe. And there was no official jeffersonlines staff on site or In addition to the emotional impact, I had book an Airbnb in fort smith Arkansas and could not get a full refund, Furthermore, the disruption meant I was unable to meet a close friend whom I haven’t seen in 15 years, which was the primary reason for my trip. Due to the last-minute nature of these changes, I was unable to secure a refund for my accommodation. And having my parents to fork out for a emergency coach to Chicago and motel,

My daughter, Allison, traveled on Jefferson bus lines from Madison to Rochester Minnesota. On the route back, our ticket said 1255 pick up. We got there at 12:34 and the bus was pulling out 20+ minute ... My daughter, Allison, traveled on Jefferson bus lines from Madison to Rochester Minnesota. On the route back, our ticket said 1255 pick up. We got there at 12:34 and the bus was pulling out 20+ minutes early. We found out that they changed the time in the morning and even the location that sells the tickets didn’t realize the time had changed. No notice no update from them. Our E ticket didn’t even update and we checked it before bed and in the morning when we got up. It still says 1255. Had to drive her up to the university of Minnesota and pay $70 for a ticket for her to take the bus back. Would never recommend this

I purchased two round-trip tickets from Duluth to Minneapolis, one for myself and one for my wife. We normally drive ourselves but decided to try Jefferson Lines for the first time on this trip to see ... I purchased two round-trip tickets from Duluth to Minneapolis, one for myself and one for my wife. We normally drive ourselves but decided to try Jefferson Lines for the first time on this trip to see how it would work out. Our ride from Duluth to Minneapolis was good and things were looking promising, however on our return trip we arrived at the pick-up location around 10:40AM for our 11:00AM departure and did not see a bus. We waited 5-10 minutes and decided to call customer service to see if the driver was just running late. They notified us that our ride was cancelled and we were NEVER notified ahead of time. We were left stranded at the airport and were given the option to bump to a later bus that left at 2pm or one at 3pm. We then found out that the 2pm bus ride was over 7 hours long, and the 3pm bus was over 6 hours long. We needed to be home sooner than both so had to pay $400 for a rental car in order to get home on-time for personal reasons. You can imagine how frustrating this was for us. Why would we not have been notified of the cancellation when we checked in for our first leg of the round-trip journey? We would have never taken the bus if we would have known that we wouldn't be able to get home. We would have just driven like we usually do. I tried to speak to a manager using option #3 on their toll-free line customer care line, but I was sent to voicemail for someone named Sarah. I left a brief message asking her to call me back but I never got a response. I also used the refund request option on the Jefferson Lines website and submitted by request on 10/8, but I have not heard back from that either.

I always love to travel on Jefferson lines. The drivers are professional and nice. I'm a truck driver and feel very comfortable riding with their drivers. Jeep up the good work. The seats were hard and the ride was bumpy I was not very impressed with the bus. It was a very uncomfortable ride from Maple Grove Minnesota to Sioux Falls South Dakota.

I am very happy with the services and drivers on the bus line. I wish there was a policy about using the speaker functions on cell phones. It would be more courteous to require ear buds or headphones ... I am very happy with the services and drivers on the bus line. I wish there was a policy about using the speaker functions on cell phones. It would be more courteous to require ear buds or headphones to listen to cell phones. I always have my ringer off and used headphones to listen to programs or music. I just think it’s inconsiderate to other passengers.

Dropped us off in "Madison, Wisconsin", barely inside the city limits near an Arby's, not even at a building, in December when it was 15 degrees. Nuff said.

Jefferson Lines is probably the worst company I've ever dealt with. Twice, they've canceled my bus; the second time with only one day's notice—too late to make other arrangements. Twice, they've canceled my bus; the second time with only one day's notice—too late to make other arrangements. This alone is frustrating, but not damning. The thing that makes them irredeemably horribly is their refund policy. Tickets are nonrefundable, even if they cancel your trip. You can transfer your tickets to another trip, but they charge you $20 for the transfer. You need to wait on the phone for hours, get hung up on dozens of times, and argue with unhelpful representatives in order to get these blatantly unjust fees waived. (edited)
